The Sprinter is our premium ride. Expect plush reclining seats, a smooth and quiet cabin, on-board entertainment, and a genuinely refined experience — especially in the luxury editions like the Golden Chariot and the Grand Recliner (with a 32″ TV and Xbox One S). If the trip is a wedding, an executive run, or any time you want to arrive in style, the Sprinter is the one.

The Ford Transit — value and space

The Ford Transit is the smart budget choice. It seats up to 15, keeps real cargo room, and the high-roof models add a stand-up cabin — all at a lower price than a luxury van. For teams, big families, and budget-minded groups who just need everyone together comfortably, the Transit delivers a lot of van for the money.

Safety: where the Sprinter pulls ahead

Both vans are safe and dependable, but the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter carries a fuller suite of driver-assist features — Crosswind Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, automatic emergency braking, and cruise control. The Ford Transit is safe and reliable with stability control and a backup camera, but it doesn’t match the Sprinter’s full driver-assist package.

Cost: where the Transit wins

The Transit is the more economical rental to book and fuel, while the Sprinter commands a premium for its comfort and features. Split either one across your group and the per-person cost drops fast — the Transit just starts lower.
