Chicago Van Rentals is a family-owned company with one of the largest full-size passenger fleets in the area, specializing in Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van rental and Ford Transit rental. Choose a 7-passenger minivan for smaller groups, our 10-passenger Sprinter Road Cruiser — a luxury van rental known as the “mobile jet,” with reclining captain’s seats — or 12- and 15-passenger Sprinter Golden Chariot conversion vans, Grand Recliner Sprinters with smart TV and Xbox, and Ford Transit vans. Every vehicle is dealership-maintained and cleaned before each trip.
Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a weekend road trip to Lake Michigan or along Route 66, a wedding, or a corporate outing, our clean, well-maintained vans carry your whole group in far more comfort than an ordinary car rental. Renting a van in Chicago is simple: choose your vehicle above, pick a convenient location — Berwyn, Melrose Park, or O’Hare & Midway airport pickup — and reserve online. From a 12-passenger van rental to a 15-passenger van rental, we have the right van for your group.

A 15-passenger van starts at $140 per day and typically runs about $150–$160 per day outside of peak summer, with rates a little higher during the busy summer months. Every rental includes 250 free miles per day, and your final price depends on your dates, rental length, and any add-ons.
No. In the United States, a standard driver's license is all you need to rent and drive a van of up to 15 passengers for personal use — no commercial (CDL) license or special endorsement is required.
Drivers must be at least 25 years old to rent. Exceptions may be available for government, military, and business or organization accounts, or drivers who hold a CDL license. If you're under 25 and think an exception may apply, contact us by phone or email — these requests are reviewed manually, case by case.
Yes — we offer 24/7 pickup and drop-off at both O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW). If your flight is delayed or rescheduled for any reason, just let us know your new arrival time and our team will be there to meet you.
Both seat up to 15 passengers, but the 15-passenger Sprinter also gives you about 3.8 ft of cargo space behind the last row — ideal when you're traveling with luggage. The 15-passenger Ford Transit uses that space for seating, so it has little to no cargo room, which makes it a great-value pick for passenger-only trips. Need both people and luggage on a budget? The 12-passenger Ford Transit keeps cargo space while lowering the cost.
Every rental includes 250 free miles per day — so a 4-day trip comes with 1,000 free miles. There's no limit on how far you can drive; any miles beyond your free allowance are billed at $0.35 per mile at the end of the trip.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash for your rental. Prepaid cards are not accepted, and a debit or credit card is required on file for the security authorization hold.
We place a refundable authorization hold on your card at pickup: $400 on a credit card or $500 on a debit card. In some cases the hold may vary based on the rental length or pickup details.
You can cancel free of charge within the first 24 hours of booking. After that, a $200 cancellation fee applies. Cancellations within 72 hours of pickup are charged the full rental amount, and reservations booked inside that final 72-hour window aren't eligible for the free-cancellation period.
Simple — just return the van with the same amount of fuel it had when you picked it up.
