Free additional drivers — up to 3 included
Long road trips are safer and easier when driving duties can be shared. Chicago Van Rentals includes up to three drivers on every rental agreement at no extra charge — one primary driver plus two additional drivers. Each additional driver beyond the first three is just $20 per day, per driver. Every driver simply needs to meet our standard license and age requirements.
This policy reflects how Chicago Van Rentals has grown from a single van in 2014 into the largest family-owned van rental company in Chicago — the reservation process is built around what actually makes group travel easier, not around finding new ways to add fees. Every driver added to a rental, primary or additional, needs to meet the same requirements outlined in our full rental policy: a valid drivers license (an international license plus passport for visitors from outside the United States), and the standard minimum age of 25, with exceptions down to 21 for renters holding a Commercial Drivers License or renting for business purposes with management approval.
This benefit tends to matter most on trips where one person driving the whole way is not realistic — multi-day corporate retreats, cross-state family reunions, weekend sports tournaments, or any rental where the group wants the flexibility to swap who is behind the wheel. Because additional drivers are added directly to the rental agreement, everyone covered is protected the same way the primary renter is under the Collision Damage Waiver and Primary Liability Insurance options selected at booking.
